Mission Statement

Holy Spirit Catholic School will provide a nurturing and faith-filled setting for each unique child of God. Through a variety of methods, our students will learn the gospel of Jesus Christ and the traditions of the Catholic Church. Holy Spirit students will develop skills for future success and the desire to serve others.

Beliefs of Holy Spirit Catholic School

The Vatican II document entitled, Declaration of Christian Education, defines the Catholic school as an instrument of social importance among all educational settings. Most distinctive about the document is the insistence upon the integration of Christian education into the whole pattern of human life in all its aspects.

Holy Spirit School recognizes the importance of Catholic education and we believe that:

1. Our school should offer students an opportunity for spiritual growth in a distinctive Christian environment so that our students may pursue a life centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
2. Our school should provide a learning environment that promotes emotional, intellectual, and physical well-being.
3. Our school should instill a sense of responsibility in students for their own learning.
4. Our school should enhance our relationship with the community through on-going communication among students, parents, staff, and parish groups.
5. Our school should encourage the development of high standards of behavior that will enable our students to function successfully in school and in society.
6. Our school should foster academic achievement through child-focused instruction that offers students ample opportunities for both success and a heightened awareness of the Gospels.
7. Our school should develop attitudes of respect and dignity in our students toward themselves, their peers, and those in authority.
