Admission

Priority to Holy Spirit School is given to contributing members of the parish (at least $20 per week in 2011) before all others.  We ask that all families attend Mass on a weekly basis and donate the minimum $20 per week throughout all of 2012 so that they’ll qualify to receive our lower tuition rate.

Registration

Open to current students from January 3 until Jan 28, 2012.  Beginning February 1, 2012, registration will be open to all other registered parishioners of Holy Spirit Church.  All other applicants will have their Inquiry Forms considered after February 17th.

For students who are new to our school, an Inquiry Form must be submitted along with supporting documentation: copies of the child’s birth certificate and baptismal certificate, Social Security card (optional), most recent report card (for students applying to Grades 1 or higher), most recent standardized test scores (for students applying to Grades 3 or higher), and documentation of parental custody, if applicable.

Age requirements

The schools of the Diocese of St. Augustine adhere to the state of Florida school age requirements of 5 years old on or before September 1, 2012 for Kindergarten, and 6 years old on or before September 1, 2012 for First Grade.

The registration fee of $125 for one child ($150 for two, $175 for three, and $200 for four) is paid only when a child is accepted and is due by February 1, 2011 for all returning students. This fee pays for technology costs (annual maintenance, licenses, and scheduled replacement), various school supplies used on campus for science, art, physical education, music, library books, periodicals, classroom instructional materials, assemblies, and office supplies. Registration fees are refundable, but textbooks fees are not. A $20 field trip fee is required to cover the transportation costs for two field trips. This fee pays for buses only, not admission tickets or other field trip expenses. Membership dues of $50 for our Home and School Association (H.S.A.) are also required at time of acceptance.

Tuition payments are set-up as monthly automatic drafts taken directly from an account designated by the parent, or can be paid in full by July 30, 2012. You will be charged a $38 set-up charge from FACTS at the start of each year. No personal checks will be accepted for tuition payments after July 30, 2012. No exceptions.

Note: You will be given a 1% tuition discount, and save the $38 FACTS set-up fee if you pre-pay your entire tuition before August 1, 2012.

Textbook Fees

Are collected after acceptance and are due before May 18, 2012

K = $200, 1^st and 2^nd grades = $220, 3^rd - 5^th grades = $240, 6^th – 8^th grades $260.

School hours

For students in Kindergarten through the 8^th grades are 7:50AM –3:00 PM. The first day of school for all students is August 15, 2012.

Before and After-School care

(Extended Day Program) is available to students enrolled in Holy Spirit School from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM each day. Extended Day services are not available on days when school is not in session. The Extended Day fee for one child who requires both morning and afternoon supervision is $160 per month. Two children will be charged $225 per month, and the fee for three children will be $280.

Students who need only morning care, will be charged $40 per month (one child), $65 per month (two children), and $80 per month (three children). All Extended Day payments are to be made directly to the school on the first of each month.

4 Year-old Pre-Kindergarten Program

Our Pre-K program is open to children who are at least 4 years old on or before September 1, 2012.  The program runs from 8:30 AM until 11:30 noon five days a week.  We also have an afternoon class from 12:00-3:00 each day.

The cost is $260 per month plus a one-time supply fee of $125 and a non-refundable registration fee of $75.  All of these fees are paid for by the state of Florida if parents register for the Voluntary Pre-K program.  There will be an additional monthly charge of $160 for any Pre-K children who need to remain at the school after the regular three-hour program ends at 11:30.
